IMMERSE: Prophets

LifePoint started something new a year ago. On Wednesdays, starting in January 2025, we gathered to fellowship and to IMMERSE ourselves in Scripture as we read through God's Word. And we saw God show up in powerful ways as we completed reading half the Bible together in just one year!

For sixteen weeks, starting Wednesday, January 7, from 7-8:30 p.m. we're continuing that journey with IMMERSE: Prophets in a Bible experience for the whole family. And we hope you'll join us!

There is a place for kids of all ages to learn while their parents are learning. When you register, please signup adults and children so we can plan accordingly.

What exactly is IMMERSE? While Bible studies and classes aren't new to LifePoint, this Bible format and gathering is something different, something closer to the way the early Church met.

In Acts 2:42, we see the early Church, "... devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." And as they did this, these believers grew -- in numbers, yes, but also in connection, in faith, in wisdom, and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

It has been our hope, sincere belief, and now experience that as LifePointers of all ages gather around tables and IMMERSE themselves in Scripture that we will encounter the power of God's Word ... together ... just as those first followers did.

The IMMERSE Bible (NLT) is organized into six volumes with a specific reading plan and order that helps bring the Bible to life. In January 2025, LifePoint began with the Messiah volume, which includes all of the New Testament, and we also have completed Beginnings and Kingdoms. 

This semester we'll be studying the Prophets volume. We'll follow the sixteen-week reading plan, which takes about 20 minutes of reading five days a week, and meet for discussion on Wednesdays. Still have some questions? Wondering if you have to know a lot about the Bible? What if you already read the Bible and know it well? Are kids welcome, and how will they participate? What if you're new to LifePoint or new to church?

Wherever you are in your walk with Christ, IMMERSE is for you. Everyone is welcome, including kids. But if we're honest, we're still figuring some of this out, and that's where God's people come in. We've been blessed with table facilitators, volunteers in KidsPoint and other ministry areas, and more. Would you pray about if and where you might be called to help?
